SAUGA CITY MUSIC FEST

The inaugural Sauga City Music Festival (SCMF) is a free, three-day event comprised of music, film, panel discussions and dance.

The SCMF will showcase culturally diverse and emerging urban and contemporary artists from Mississauga, Brampton and the 905, along with special guests. SCMF will also highlight positive interactions among diverse youth in the areas of music, arts and culture through performances and discussions about the arts, economic empowerment and civic and community engagement.

SCMF will feature several panel discussions with a select group of panelists sharing their knowledge and timely insights on a variety of topics of interest to emerging artists including access to funding, civic engagement and alternate revenue streams.

Living Arts Centre is located next door to Square One Shopping mall and Sheridan College. LAC is visited by over 300,000 people annually.

Mississauga is Canada’s sixth largest city, and is the home to the 2019 NBA Champions G league affiliate, Raptors 905 and the 2019 US Open Tennis Champion, Bianca Andreescu. Mississauga anchors the Peel region (905) which also includes Brampton and Caledon. Brampton is home to Grammy Award winner Alessia Cara and award-winning film and music video director and producer, Director X who has directed videos for Drake, Jay Z, and Kanye West to name a few.
